The other dream warriors are quite a bit more ambiguous, and sometimes seem to have no clue as to what's going on at all (looking at you, Marmu). Markoth - He definitely doesn't sound as hyped about getting absorbed as Galien or No Eyes, but from all his other dialogue it seems clear that his only frame of reference for viewing the world is through war and control. it clears.' I see essence absorption not as trapping the ghost's consciousness within the dream nail, but as freeing the ghost's mind from its body and absorbing the essence that its ghostly body was made up of. I don't think most of the ghosts are even conscious of the fact that they're dead, let alone the existence of the Dream Nail.

While most ghosts are too weak to put up a fight when Dream Nailed, a few select ghosts are capable of fighting back, showing that whatever happens when a ghost is Dream Nailed, they do not wish for it to happen. No, by Dream Nailing Cloth, you're trapping her within the Dream Nail, never to be reunited with her beloved Nola. By Dream Nailing Cloth, you aren't helping her along. This to me is the final nail in the coffin for the 'Dream Nail sends ghosts to the afterlife' theory. If you leave the area and come back, Cloth's ghost will be gone. The only reason she remains in the physical world is to 'savor the moment', and she says that she will be leaving to join Nola soon. Which brings me to Cloth.Д¬loth is the clearest example of a ghost that does not want to be absorbed. A few ghosts, like No Eyes and maaabye Xero and Galien are fine with being absorbed, but many of the ghosts in the Spirits' Glade are perfectly content with being dead and in the Glade. Okay, so what? Surely the ghosts are tormented by lingering in the physical world, so being absorbed into the Dream Nail is actually in their best interest? Again, I don't think so. And when a Warrior Dream is absorbed, we actually see them explode into Essence, making it pretty clear that the Essence collected is the ghost. When a ghost is Dream Nailed, Essence is seen pouring into the Dream Nail. Maybe they don't know that the Dream Nail will send them to the afterlife? I don't think so. It's only after beating the ghosts into submission (or in Revek's case, destroying her sense of purpose) that these strong ghosts are too weak to resist being Dream Nailed.ДЄlright, so we've established that the ghosts are actual spirits, and that they do not want to be Dream Nailed, but we haven't actually figured out what happens when a ghost is Dream Nailed.

Second, do the ghosts want to be Dream Nailed? The answer is a pretty clear 'no'. But several do, including most of the ghosts in the Spirits' Glade, as well as Cloth (more on her later). True, many ghosts don't seem to realize they are dead. I'm here to explain why I believe the former is what happens, as well as analyze what exactly these ghosts really are.ДЇirst, just what are these ghosts? Are they the actual spirits of dead bugs, or are the lingering memories? I think they're actual spirits. Some people believe that the ghosts are absorbed into the Dream Nail, while other believe that Dream Nailing a ghost helps them move on to the afterlife. There are two conflicting theories as to what happens when you Dream Nail a ghost.
